This page from my master list of all Las Vegas articles I wrote while developing Vanabode as the best travel vehicle for cheap easy long term road trips.

Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas

Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas is one of the few casinos on the Strip that's kid-friendly. With the landmark Adventuredome Park, the Midway game area and circus shows, you and your kids can have a great vacation in Vegas. It's not a fancy hotel but for the price and location it's a good value.

Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas is at the northern end of the Strip, across the street from the now closed Riviera. From McCarran International Airportit's just 4.5 miles and a quick cab ride. Parking at the hotel is free and there's plenty of it. Catch the Deuce bus in front of the hotel every 6 minutes. It will take you north and south on the Strip.

It has 35 floors as well as a shopping mall which connects 2 towers, the Skyrise and the Casino Towers. But the newest tower, the West Tower, is the place to stay. Rooms are comparable to Harrah's on the Strip. Don't expect the luxury of the Hilton or the Mirage. This hotel was built in the late 60s. Rooms are clean and spacious. Housekeeping service daily. Ask for a room with a view of the Strip.

The RV Park run by the KOA is a great alternative to staying in a hotel. It is full-service with showers and bathrooms, a convenience store, washer/dryers, all the utility hook-ups and a pet run.

Another advantage is you are right next to the casino if you want to dine out, see a show or do a little gambling. How perfect! Kelly and I have camped here for months at at time some years (when we didn't mind paying by the month and spending more than our normal $20 a day travel budget).

The Adventuredome is a unique attraction at the Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas. Parents can relax while kids get their faces painted by clowns, ride the roller coaster or bumper cars. They're designed for kids ages 6-14, with nothing as scary as the thrill rides on top of the Stratosphere. You and your children can enjoy the free circus acrobatic shows performed every 20 minutes from 11 am to midnight. On the upper deck kids can play video games and win small, stuffed animals using lots of your dollars.

Mexitalia X-Press serves both Mexican and Italian. When the hotel is running a 2 for 1 promotion take them up on it and dine here. At least try the nachos and spaghetti once. The Garden Grill serves huge portions, so only go if you and the kids are really hungry. The Pizzeria cooks everything fresh and kids will love the bland pizzas made for their palettes.

Circus Circus Hotel Las Vegas

Circus Circus is Las Vegas' most famous family and kid focused casino and hotel. Home to the Adventuredome for fun, to top ranked gourmet restaurant The Steak House for fine dining, and the strips only RV park, this hotel and casino is eclectic indeed. It has been featured in film hundreds of times including the crazy off the chart Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Circus Circus Adventuredome just added the completely original Disk'O ride where you are strapped ONTO a motorcycle like seat facing out while spinning at high speed and simultaneously rolling along a track up and down.

My kids love to be dropped off there and when I come back 4 hours later they tell me go away we are having fun still. They love the laser tag and rollercoasters the best. Get an all day pass and get to it. The indoor theme park is inside the largest space-frame dome in the states keeping it cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
