This page from my master list of all Las Vegas articles I wrote while developing Vanabode as the best travel vehicle for cheap easy long term road trips. Forum Shops Caesars PalaceForum Shops Caesars Palace Las Vegas is an extension to Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino. Within the 240,000 square feet of shopping euphoria there are more than 160 stores along with 13 high-end and mid-level restaurants and food kiosks scattered throughout the mall. By the way, Forum Shops is a Simon property, but don't expect to see only the typical stores. The Forum Shops have some of the most expensive retail stores in the world and there are some of the more common stores mixed in as well. Most people window shop, people watch or just go there to be seen.
The atmosphere of The Forum Shops at Caesars is set under a dome ceiling. It is painted like a blue sky complete with white clouds and lighting that goes from sunrise, daytime, and sunset among Ancient Roman architecture. There are marble sculptures 3-stories high, replicas of the Trevi and Triton Fountains, a spiral escalator, cobblestone-like floors, reflecting pool under a gorgeous skylight, fountains, and entertaining animatronics statues.
There is a 20-foot winged beast that appears before fire and a flood destroy Atlantis. The surrounding area gets crowded quickly to see this show. The show is a little corny for adults but kids enjoy it. The Atlantis Fish Aquarium is just behind The Fall of Atlantis animatronics stage. It is a 50,000-gallon saltwater aquarium with more than 100 species of ocean life. The Festival Fountain show has a laser light show as well as an animatronics discussion between Bacchus, Venus, Apollo and Pluto. This is at the west end of the Forum Shops in the square. Some of the specialty shops at the mall are what sets the Forum Shops apart from other malls in Las Vegas. For instance, Exotic Cars is a 34,000 square foot, two-tiered retail store with a showroom displaying more than 50 exotic cars and motorcycles. Brands include Aston Marton, Rolls Royce, and Porsche. There is also a remote-controlled racetrack as well as a variety of merchandise including model cars, posters, and apparel. Vosges Haut-Chocolat is the place to buy some gourmet treats for yourself while walking The Forum Shops and the Las Vegas Strip. Some of the restaurants in The Forum Shops at Caesars are BOA Prime Grill, The Cheesecake Factory, Joe's Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab, Las Salsa, Planet Hollywood, Trevi Italian Restaurant and many more. A variety of high-end retail stores include Gucci, Jimmy Choo, D&G, Coach, David Yurman, Kiehl's, Tiffany's, Louis Vuitton, Intermix, Ermenegildo Zegna, and more.
If you have a larger SUV or Vanabode for camping and long term road trips, then use valet parking because the height in the parking garage is too low. The Forum Shops provides a lost and found, free parking in the covered parking with easy access to The Forum Shops. Strollers and wheelchairs are available for a fee and are located at the Main Concierge Center in front of The Fountain of the Gods. Even if you are not into malls The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace's beautiful environment may change your mind about shopping the Strip in Vegas.
