Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino in Vegas

Caesars Palace built in 1966 on the Las Vegas Strip continues to reinvent itself as a world-class gambling and shopping destination. Hotel veterans have upgraded, rebuilt, redesigned and relaunched numerous times over the years. Caesars will impress you I guarantee it. You need to see this place even if you don't stay here.

Caesars boasts Las Vegas' largest poker room at over 14,000 square feet. I like it because Caesars' poker room is completely non-smoking, nicely decorated, plush and you can get a massage while playing. The rest of the casino is large and appointed with spectacular points of interest.

Decorated in an elegant redwood setting, Bobby Flay, the TV and Food Network star, cookbook author and owner of Mesa Grill brings you only the most flavorful cuisine, Southwestern style. Be adventurous and try the barbecued duck in a blue corn tortilla with a habanero chile sauce or the tiger shrimp with roasted garlic corn tamale. This is what you can enjoy while eating at some of the restaurants at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab is always crowded.

Strategically located on the first floor of the Forum Shops next to Valet parking, it's very easy to get to when you have an appetite. The indoor patio faces the shops and makes it a fun experience for people watching. Dinner is available all day. Some of my favorite appetizers include stone crabs or the giant crab cakes or the oysters Rockefeller. I don't know anywhere else that serves a 28 oz Porterhouse steak on the Strip!

If you're just looking for a quick bite to eat on your way to the Pussycat Dolls Lounge, then stop in at the Cyprus Street Marketplace in Caesar's Hotel Las Vegas, NV. It is designed for casual self-serve dining. You can find a really fresh hand-carved turkey dinner there that is inexpensive.

Caesars' has rooms in five different towers called Forum, Roman, Centurion, Palace and Augustus. Each is a little different and a little more spacious or upgraded than the next. The Augustus Tower is Caesars' newest but they plan on opening a sixth in 2009: the 600+ room, 23-story Octavius Tower. Cleopatra's Barge Nightclub is unique. You can dance on a water drenched barge, in front of a giant Egyptian statue. Pure is known all over the world as one of the greatest nightclubs ever invented. The pool scene is spectacular and many locals go there just to people watch.

Restaurants: This place is huge and including those in the Shops there are over 60 to choose from in all price ranges. The best for the price is the Cheesecake Factory with huge portions in a grand setting.
Nightclubs, Lounges: Pure nightclub, Pussycat Dolls Lounge, check hours
Casino: 130,000 square feet, including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Poker, Roulette, more than 2,900 slot machines, and Vegas biggest poker room, race & sports book has seating for 240+ people with 20+ TV's and 6 big screens for major events.
Entertainment: 4,000+ seat coliseum where big acts like Celine Dion once played and now huge UFC fights and shows like Bette Midler reign supreme.
Extras: The Fall of Atlantis is a robotic laser backed sound infused free show you will want to see just once, except kids like it over and over. There is a nice free aquarium in front of the Cheesecake Factory restaurant.
Pools: 3 big Roman theme pools and two hot tubs, plus the Venus Pool Club, an adult only topless pool for hotel guests and paying customers only.
Health Club or Spa: 55,000 square foot spa in 54 different private rooms. Health club includes rock climbing wall, virtual reality spinning bikes, right beside the great pool scene. Highly recommended even if you don't work out!
Shopping: 160+ stores and restaurants make up the Forum Shops which is notably the most expensive and profitable mall in the world. It is highly recommended for shopping as well as eating and people watching. Click for other shopping options.
Wedding chapel: numerous packages and they can be quite scenic

Parking garage: free 5 story parking garage plus very limited outdoor parking for oversized vehicles like rv's and buses.
Shuttle service to the airport: back and forth to the airport by a private company, better to take a cab unless you are real short on cash.
Shuttle service to Strip: Caesars Palace is ON the strip, no shuttle needed

Caesar's Palace Hotel in Las Vegas is a legendary casino with a history of catering to celebrities, high-rollers and world-class artists. It boasts the opulence of ancient Rome complete with statues, sumptuous pools and top-rated restaurants. It's designed to pamper its hotel guests like they are royalty. Caesar's is next door to the Mirage and the Bellagio.

For the ultimate relaxation, make an appointment at the Qua Baths and Spa in the Augustus Tower. It's a 50,000 square foot facility with his and her services including an amazing offering of Roman baths, massages, body-scrubs, facials, hydrotherapy treatments, body wraps, a gym, salon, barber shop, a tea sommelier and more. When you're ready to be refreshed, try the Arctic Ice Room with no less than ice cold snow-like flakes falling from the ceiling.

Caesars Palace on the Strip in Las Vegas has a lot of picturesque spots throughout their property. Take a detour off the strip and onto their walkways that wind around pools and gardens.

The pools are unreal. You will feel like a Roman god or goddess sunbathing, swimming and enjoying your cocktails as waitresses in sexy togas offer you frozen fruits in the summertime. All four pools are heated all year around. The Venus pool is for European bathing (topless).

Caesar's Palace Hotel in Las Vegas features first-class shopping with over 160 shops in the Forum Shops and throughout the casino. I always Valet Park right next to the Forum Shops for easy access. Forum Shops are in a grand three story circular tower with escalators and elevators. Your favorite designers like Hugo Boss and Versace are there as well as Kiehl's and for the best chocolates go to Vosgues on the first floor. You can also find specialty shops like Houdini's magic shop and Lalique crystals that you won't find everywhere.

Shopping is definitely a fun experience at Caesar's. When you want to take a break, take a few moments to watch the Fall of Atlantis - the free talking statues show complete with smoke, fire, water and a crumbling palace. Next door to the statues is the Exotic Cars shop where you can see some of the most beautiful cars in the world for a small fee. The only other car shop of this caliber is at the Wynn Hotel Las Vegas which features Ferrari's and Maseratti's. A larger than life fountain waterfall at Caesars on the Las Vegas Strip. She is bright, clean and welcoming 24 hours a day.

World-class artists like Celine Dion, Elton John and Bette Midler have performed at Caesar's Palace Hotel in Las Vegas. The 4,000 seat Coliseum was originally built and designed for Celine and her "Cirque du Soleil" like show. It featured not only Celine belting out her greatest hits but also the largest screen in the U.S. and top-notch acrobats and dancers.

Caesars in Las Vegas for Weddings

Caesars in Vegas is one of the most romantic places to get married. Don't forget to bring your Las Vegas marriage license with you to the ceremony. The marriage bureau is located downtown and open 7 days a week. But with over 212,000 licenses issued each year in Vegas, I wouldn't procrastinate or it will be a long wait in line.

Keep in mind that chapels are designed for ceremonies only. You will have to book a restaurant or ballroom in the casino to accommodate your reception guests and party. Luckily, Caesar's has over 160,000 square feet of ballroom space. Packages are not as extensive as wedding services at the Bellagio but nevertheless, they offer very romantic and idyllic settings.

Caesars Palace is across the street from the Bellagio with easy and safe access between the two via the pedestrian overpass crosswalk.

Caesar Hotel Casino Las Vegas has a wide choice of chapels and locations to choose from for your wedding ceremony. The Romano chapel can only accommodate 35 guests while the Tuscana will seat 80 people comfortably. The largest chapel is the Classico which holds 196 guests and looks more traditional with stained glass windows and chandeliers.

Since the weather in Vegas is conducive to outdoor weddings you might want to hold your ceremony in one of two gardens or the terrace. Caesar's has wedding experts that can help you plan everything you need to create your dream come true. They can assist you with Las Vegas wedding gowns or Las Vegas formal wear.

Basically, every kind of station imaginable is offered from fondue stations, salad stations, pizza stations, dessert stations and carving stations served with beer, wine and cocktails. Sit-down dinners or buffets are available. You won't have any trouble finding dishes to keep your guests happy at Caesar Hotel Casino Las Vegas.
